What is Toyota Kata?

TK (Toyota Kata) is a brilliantly innovative management system that provides the means to achieve two equally important objectives:

  1. A methodology to achieve challenging objectives that are currently beyond a team’s ability to reach, and…
  2. Developing managers and leaders as coaches for creating a culture of continuous improvement, adaption, and innovation. This is done through simple, easy-to-teach, time-efficient, daily routines.

Training objectives on the plant

On 5-7 July, we had the first in field training in Romania, where we exercised the coaching and improvement routines used to create a Lean culture at all levels, for all kind of challenges.

We had participants from Romania, Hungary, Germany and USA, which practiced the coaching and improvement routines several times to achieve real shop floor challenges at our host plant.

Gaining a deeper and practical knowledge about the routines in order to be able to establish this system in their organizations.
